Beverly A Rosine, 96, of Greenwood Village, CO passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her home. She was born on July 5, 1927, in Altona, IL to Cecil Jack and Anna (Collinson) Powell. She graduated from Galesburg Senior High School in 1945 and received her BS from Western Illinois University in 1949. Upon her graduation from college Bev came back to Galesburg and began her 33-year career with the Galesburg District 205 Schools (1949-1982). She taught Physical Education and Drivers Ed, as well as Coaching Cheerleading, Golf and Bowling. Bev also created and developed the Streakette Acrobatic Group. She was inducted into the Galesburg High School Hall of Fame in 2018. Bev married George Rosine in Galesburg on July 22, 1952, (he preceded her in death in 2017) and they had two daughters (Gayla and Leah (Cookie)). In her free time, she spent her days on the golf course playing in leagues at Bunker Links and Lake Bracken CC. Once they retired and moved to Florida they were members of the Oxbow Golf Club in LaBelle, FL. She enjoyed her retirement to the fullest playing golf, crafting, and spending time with her greatest joy, her granddaughter Jessica. She is survived by daughter Gayla Wittenbrink (Ken) of Loxahatchee, FL; daughter Leah Rosine (Kim) of Highlands Ranch, CO; and granddaughter Jessica Lowe (Jarrod) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
